trANSPLANTS AND SEEDLINGS
We plant transplants for the fall and summer every year at the garden. We grow a variety of plants in 72 plug trays. Our standards for the fall are: collards, mustards, kale, broccoli, tomatoes, flowers, dill, parsley, and more. For the summer we usually plant okra, peppers, eggplants, basil, and lots of flowers! For a more detailed New Orleans seasonal growing guide, please click here. These transplants first go to our community gardeners and community garden network members, but there are always some left over. If you’re interested in obtaining some transplants, please email Gabe at firstname.lastname@example.org to get more information.
We have an onsite seed library located inside the ReFresh Building (upstairs in Suite 208). We try to obtain a seed donation every year to keep our library replenished and free to use to our community. The seed library is open during all regular business hours (M-F, 9 AM - 5 PM). We have staff available for assistance and consultation during scheduled V4V times September through June and from 1-3 on Mondays and Thursdays in July and August. If you would like more information about the seed library or when it is open please email Gabe at email@example.com.
INTRODUCING THE BROAD CORRIDOR COMMUNITY GARDEN (bccg) NETWORK!
The BCCG network is an avenue through which gardeners around the Broad Street corridor can get together to share knowledge, resources, and build a network of support from themselves and others. The BCCG network is just getting started so click the logo on the left to find out more information!
FREE ORGANIC FERTILIZER
SPROUT has a limited community supply of worm tea that we love to share with gardeners and neighbors. Please shoot us an email in order to set up a pick up date at our garden or farmer’s market!
